Kezo-ji Park
(Kezo-ji Koen)
This lovely park is known for its wetland garden as well as its cherry blossoms, azaleas, and iris. The bird dome is a favorite among children.


Kusatsu Spa
(Kusatsu Onsen)
At an elevation of 1,200 meters, Kusatsu is one of Japan's most famous hotspring resort towns. A total of 37,000 liters of hot mineral water flows from the springs each minute. The many excellent and luxurious hotels provide guests with every modern convenience. The mineral waters are also known for their medicinal properties. In August, the town holds a major international classical music festival.


Mt. Tanigawadake
(Tanigawa-dake)
This spectacular mountain straddles the border of Niigata and Gunma Prefectures and is one of Japan's meccas for rock climbers, particularly the cliffs of Ichinokurasawa. A cable car services the 1,500-meter height of Tenjindaira.
